This download includes patches for Helix and HX Stomp. Please make sure to import the appropriate patch for your hardware – they are not interchangeable.
- WT SUPREME SC – This patch uses the IR’s and is meant for guitars with single coils or low output humbuckers
- WT SUPREME WT HB – This patch uses the IR’s and is meant for guitars with more traditionally voiced humbuckers
- NOTE: The HX Stomp folder includes ‘FX” patches. These patches include the additional effects blocks from the full Helix patch.
OUR GO-TO AMP SETUP, NOW IN YOUR HELIX
For this preset, we tone-matched the both Matchstick Ch2 and Essex A30 amp models in the Helix to the our Matchless Chieftain and Korg-era Vox AC30/6 Top Boost amps. The result are impulse response sthat completely transform the HX amp models – They sound exactly like our Chieftain and AC30.
We chose these two amps because they are our favorite amps to run in stereo with a pedalboard. We’ve also configured the effects to closely mimic Brian’s stereo pedalboard.

These Tone Match IR’s are genuinely incredible. The difference between these and my David Hislop IR’s is night and day. There is a fullness, clarity, and articulation to these that is unlike anything I’ve ever tried. I am not using the patch as it comes, but I imported the amp presets and TM IR’s into my regular patch and tweaked some settings to achieve absolutely stellar results. When your sound guy and your other guitarist both come and ask you how you’re getting “that amazingly warm, articulate sound” you know you’re on to something great. These IR’s are probably the biggest single improvement in my tone since buying my Helix 4 years ago.
As a side note, you guys should consider selling the amp presets and TM IR’s individually for $5 and also in bundles. I’m sure there are a lot of people like me who want just the amp preset and IR and don’t need a full patch with any of the FX. I would buy every single one if you did that.

Hola, me encuentro muy complacido de encontrar un excelente sonido de amplificadores combinado, había hecho algunas pruebas de amplificadores en paralelo sin obtener un buen resultado. En una ocasión compré un pack pero no me gustó el sonido, por lo cual no volví a comprar ningún tipo de patches. Este patch realmente es bueno, felicitaciones. Me gustaría adquirir otra buena combinación en paralelo pero con un marshall. Saludos.
