At Worship Tutorials, we love Vox tone. It is responsible for so much of the music that has influenced and shaped the contemporary worship sound. The AC15 first came to popularity thanks to the Beatles, and ever since, the Vox ‘AC’ style amps have been used by countless artists. Vox amps have a chime and a grit that you just can’t get elsewhere.
We recently did a video on our picks for the best cheap guitars and amps, and the AC15 was one of our picks for an amp (along with a Fender Blues Jr.). On the used market you can get them from $350-400, and new they run just over $600. Not really, really cheap, but considering the used price, it’s a great amp for the money.
In the video above, Bradford demonstrates the clean and driven sounds that you can get from the AC15 with a Telecaster style guitar and a guitar with humbuckers.
