On the album, the song is in A which I would describe as a high male key. For a male lead, use G or A. For a female lead, use D, E, or F.

Hi Brian!
Thank you for all your tutorials, I learned already a few songs through it!
I have a question reg. the strumming pattern of the pre-chorus. The “normal” strumming pattern is “D DU UDU”… in the pre-chorus, how do you open the strumming up? Do you skip the DU after the first D, so “D UDU”… ? I would appreciate it if you can explain it a bit more! Thank you and God bless you!
Renate
Hi Renate,
I think that would do the trick – basically when I say to ‘open up’ the strumming, I’m just meaning strum less. Sometimes on this part, I’ll just do down strums – one strum on ‘Remember’, another down strum on ‘people’, and then the same with ‘remember’ and ‘children’, and then build back up as you’re going into the chorus.
Hi Brian!
I appreciate you taking the time to upload these worship tutorials! They help me out so much! If you could do me a favor though, maybe after the tutorial you could post a link of a video of you doing a run through of the entire song. It would help me to play along with a video.
Thanks so much!
Stephanie
Hey Stephanie – most of the tutorials have videos where I play through the song acoustic. If this one doesn’t it means I never recorded one. Typically the links are on the same page as the tutorial.
me too I appreciate your worship tutorial!!! me IAm a christian like you brian wahl i like your worship tutorial brian! God Bless to your worship tutorial
Thank you so much! God bless!!!
Thanks Brian, This one seems pretty easy, which I like since I suck at guitar. I’ve learned over 1/2 doz songs from you. I’m going to turn my friends at WriteChristianSongs.com on to you. We are a FB group of just over 200 members. Our group has at least 1/2 doz albums produced and have put out dozens of good songs. Check it out you might want to join and share some of your original songs with us and join in on the discussions and critiques.
Hey Brian, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all you do to help me and others learn these great songs. That you would take the time and trouble to do what you do is just great and such a blessing to all of us. Yours is always the first page I go to when looking to learn new songs so be encouraged Brian and I hope you continue with this amazing ministry. God bless.
That’s awesome – Thanks John!
I really love this song and especially the part mix that Matt Maher does with the wooohhhing and when he ties “Here I am, Lord” into the end of it! The only problem is, I don’t see where the Chord Charts are located. It would be nice to see them on this page so that I didn’t have to rewind the video! Thanks and God Bless!
