Arrangement
Artist: Hillsong Worship
Album: Let There Be Light
album info: Key: C (male), 71 bpm, 4/4 time
Note: Our arrangement is slightly different than the Hillsong version – we shortened the turn-around section between the first chorus and the second verse.
Chord Diagrams
In the chord charts, you’ll see a G/F chord. In my experience, you can just play a G here and it sounds fine (you can let your bass or keys player handle that F in the bass).
If you wanted cover that note on guitar, you’ll want to fret the low E string on the 1st fret while playing a G chord.
Strumming Pattern
You can use a couple patterns on this one. For the slower sections (which is much of the song), use variations of this:
1 2 3 4 d udud udud du
You’ll want to make sure you don’t strum too much in this.
Once the song picks up, you can use this pattern:
1 2 3 4 d d d dudud d du

Thanks Brain, you have made a tricky (wonderful) song accessible to me and lots of small churches. thanks. Martin
Thanks, Martin! Yeah when I first heard this one I thought it might be a bit complicated, but when you break it down to it’s individual components, it’s actually pretty simple.
