Good Good Father is an enormously popular song right now, originally written and performed by the band Housefires. Chris Tomlin’s version is extremely accessible for churches and worship teams.
Even So Come is a great album by Passion, and this is the title track, sung by Chris Tomlin. It’s in 6/8 time, which gives it a bit different feel from the typical 4/4 song. Very sing-able and fun to play.
A great congregational song from the Love Ran Red album. This one is in the key of C and is very easy to play. I especially like how catchy the Pre-Chorus is.
Great song from Chris Tomlin’s Love Ran Red album. Very singable and easy to play on guitar. The album key is Ab, but I suspect most people will play it in G, which is the key I’ve played and taught the song in.
Probably the most popular contemporary worship song of all time, and really easy to play and sing.
One of my favorite Chris Tomlin songs ever, and that’s saying something 🙂
This song is featured on Tomlin’s Burning Lights album and features an awesome rap by Lecrae. The subject of Lecrae’s rap comes straight from Ezekiel 37:1-14 (Valley of Dry Bones), and it fits well with the song as a whole. If you can pull off the rap, it’s a very, very cool element to put in your worship services. If not, you can easily shorten the rap section and make it an instrumental section if you’d like.
Our resources for this song are from the Passion: Here For You album. This is a good song to use as an opener.
