Soundboard Studio Lite is an iOS app that lets you trigger audio files. The cool feature about this app is the crossfade functionality. When you switch from one pad to another, you get a nice crossfade. With the Pads, this helps create a seamless transition.
You can create playlists (the app calls these ‘boards’) for specific events like Sunday morning, or set up a board to show all 12 keys of a set of Pads. Importing Pads or other audio files is easy – you can import from your Music library or through services like Dropbox.
The app is free and works with all iOS devices.
Don’t know about Pads?
Pads are a music bed that will enhance your worship services and allow you to facilitate awesome transitions. They sound like this:
What do you recommend for android with the same functionality?
How can I have it play in the background while I use music stand?
What about songs with Key changes in them?
I’m SURE you’ve been asked this a gazillion times, BUT…is there a similar app for android devices?

Would you please research an app that works as well for those of us who have been ‘saved’ from Apple? In other words, us Android users. Thanks!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ve been looking for a simple to use app and interface with crossfade since day one to play PADS in our services, but till now have have had to settle on not the best solutions, so this is a HUGE help! Thanks again and thanks for creating PADS, they’ve become indispensable in our worship services… the entire worship team loves them, even the keyboard player… sometimes 🙂
I currently run pads through my laptop, imported into the songs in mediashout. I like this application because of the cross fades that I’m unable to do with my current set up. Any suggestions how to use the pads with an iOs device in my situation? Would you connect to the system through a Direct box? Thanks for your help..Tim Mulkey
I lead worship for a small Christian Recovery group so all tech comes out of my pocket. I really want to buy a pad set and start using them so I’d like to buy a refurb iPad to start into this. Any help on a minimal level hardware spec for that iPad? NewEgg has refurbed iPad 2s for pretty cheap.
anything like this for android?
Soooo, I’m guessing there’s nothing like this for Android?
Does this app support a midi foot controller?
yep. Need app for android.
For everyone asking about an Android app that does the same thing I found SoftPads – Background Worship Pads App on Google Play. It’s not free – costs about $5 – but seems to do everything you’d want. Comes with 11 different sets of pads each available in all 12 keys. Allows for cross fade of the pads and you can also choose to play multiple pads at the same time (e.g. overlay different 3 or 4 different pad types all in the key of C).
By the way, I’m nothing to do with the developers of the pads – just seemed like a good app that I came across after seeing Soundboard Studio recommended here, but wanting something for Android
