We have been working hard on Pads 3, our next version of our Pads series. We love the way they sound (they are HUGE sounding), and we can’t wait for you to hear them and put them to use in your churches ministries.
We’ve titled them Cinematic Pads because we think they feel extremely cinematic. Just imagine John Williams and Hans Zimmer joining your worship team :). Play the video above to hear a sample.
We’ll be releasing these very soon – we’re currently planning for an Oct 27 release. Who knows – we may push them out a bit early :).
Can’t wait!!
After using Pads1 & Pads2 in our services, I’m excited about the prospect of using Pads3. They certainly do enhance the sound of our worship performances.
Thanks Lori – same here! Can’t wait to release and use them.
Same here! ๐
Hello,
Can you make version of Pads that are panned all the way to the right channel? We use click tracks, metronome and pads through onsong in live worship sets. The metronome is panned left and the pads or back track are panned right. I purchased and use the pads 1, but I’m not able to use them as downloaded because the pad is so overwhelming through the metronome channel. I had to re-record them panned right. It would be extremely helpful if I could purchase the prepanned.
Thanks,
Billy,
I would highly recommend looking into the light version of Ableton for launching your loops. It’s perfect for launching your loops and clicks and gives you so much control. Ableton live 9 intro is only $99. If you’re not doing too much heavy sound processing, you can try to get away with not getting an external audio interface. If you want to do that, presonus has a decent usb interface for about $100.
Thanks Chris! Ableton does work really well – we have a video on the Pads page showing how to play pads and loops from Ableton using a midi foot controller.
Hi Billy,
We are not currently planning to offer pads that are hard panned to the right, but it’s pretty easy to make them yourself you’d like. Thanks!
Any reason why you call them cinematic pads ? ๐
Heavier use of strings? Pads 2 doesn’t seem to rely on that as much as it does guitar pedal tones. Pads 3 sounds a little more dramatic and beefy sounding to me with the strings.
Yeah there are strings as well as a lot of other layered instruments in Pads 3.
We think they sound very cinematic – much like you’d hear on a movie score.
Can’t wait. I loved Pads 1 & 2 and the preview for 3 sounds epic.
Thanks Matthew!
Can you explain an appropriate time to use each of the different pads? What kind of setting/song is good for Pads 1? Pads 2? Pads 3? I love how each of them sound, but I don’t have the resources to keep purchasing every new variety of these, so I’m trying to figure out which is best for us.
Thanks!
Hey Josh – really you can use any set of Pads at any time you’d like. I wouldn’t say there are certain applications where Pads 1, 2, or 3 are necessarily better than the other. It all really depends on your preference.
Is there a way to pre-order them? How much will they cost?
Pads 3 are $14.99
