In the Sunday Vlog series, we go behind the scenes to see what really goes on at my church on any given Sunday morning.
This weekend I lead worship for AXIS and Coffeehouse at the Durham Campus of Newhope Church. Highlights of this week’s Sunday Vlog include:
- The ‘Lutheran Church Basement Coffee’ coffee cup
- How to carry all your stuff into church in one trip
- Why planning is so important
2 questions–separate topics.
One–When I interned in 2013 the Central Campus had 4 services and they spread across the day. I saw that you guys changed that. Would you guys be able to give a background of that decision and how you guys felt it wen with your congregation and you as leaders?
Second–Tech-wise–When did you start using click tracks as a church. When did you start using in-ears instead of monitors? How was the transition?
Love watching these and I always speak highly of my experience there!
I apologize for the typos.
Hey Bethany! Good to hear from you :). I’m not sure when we switched from the afternoon services to be honest. When we finished our building expansion we went down to just two services, which has been nice.
We’ve been using click tracks as long as I’ve been around – so for at least the past 4-5 years. I wasn’t around when we transitioned to using them, though.
