Worship Leader Wednesday is a series where we give you quick tips that you can put into practice today to become a better worship leader
In this video Fuller and Brian cover some basic ‘big-picture’ ideas to consider when thinking about rehearsals as well as a detailed rehearsal structure that you can implement in your church. We pray that this helps you and your teams at your church build community and effectively prepare for Sunday services.

Wow, I recently moved to a new city and I had been serving in worship ministries for a long time with leaders that encompassed all of these recommendations. In fact, I was blessed to have had a paid musician position at one church for almost 4 years after serving as a volunteer musician at my “home” church for over 10 years. In this new city, I immediately volunteered for the worship team at a church my wife felt The Lord was leading her (us) to attend. I met with the worship leader who invited me to attend a “rehearsal” & bring some gear (informal audition) which they held on Monday nights. I showed up on time and there was nobody there–haha! The worship leader later said “Oh, we change it to Fridays sometimes.” I had given him my contact info so long story short, I showed up at a subsequent ‘rehearsals’ and I wasn’t expecting a 1,000 person church to be running rehearsals doing ALL the things you said NOT TO DO in your video. I started to type up a huge list of stuff they do but I think I will offer my help to the worship leader (if he is amenable) and suggest he utilize your excellent website. Maybe The Good Lord will bless them with the info you have provided.
