Description

TONE MATCH PATCHES, CAPTURES, AND PROFILES OF OUR KORG ERA VOX AC30/6 TOP BOOST

For these presets, we have captured our Morgan AC20 Deluxe. The result is set of presets and captures that sound exactly like our amp, and the microphones, preamps, and EQ chains that we use to record it.

This is one of the sought-after ‘Korg Era’ AC30’s, made in England. Ours features an original Celestion Alnico Blue speaker as well as a vintage ’60’s Alnico Silver.

We’ve captured the amp with a Royer 121 and Earthworks SR25 through a stereo Neve 1073 preamp.

PATCHES (LINE 6 AND FRACTAL UNITS)

The pack includes 2 patches (each with SC and HB options). We’ve tone-matched both channels of this amplifier – the ‘EF’ patches are the EF86 channel, and the ‘AX’ patches are the 12ax7 channel.

  • AC30/6 TB TM S– This patch uses the IR’s and is meant for guitars with single coils.
  • AC30/6 TB TM H – This patch uses the IR’s and is meant for guitars with humbuckers.
  • NOTE: The HX Stomp, POD Go, and FM3 folders include ‘FX” patches. These patches include the additional effects blocks from the full Helix/AXE-FX III patches.

SIGNAL FLOW AND EFFECTS (LINE 6 & FRACTAL UNITS)

  1. Compressor
  2. Pitch (POG)
  3. Drives: KOT, 808, Fuzz, and more
  4. Volume
  5. Tremolo
  6. Chorus
  7. Delays: 1/8 delay, Dotted 8th delay, Dual stereo delay
  8. Reverbs: Subtle and Huge
  9. Amps
  10. Cabs (User cabs)

The HX Stomp, POD Go, and FM3 presets cannot fit all the effects into a single patch. For those platforms, we include the amp and essential effects in the main patches, and then we include the additional effects blocks in the ‘FX’ patches. Feel free to mix and match the additional ‘FX’ blocks into the main patches to suite your needs.

SNAPSHOTS & SCENES (LINE 6 & FRACTAL HARDWARE ONLY)

  • Snapshot/Scene 1: CLEAN. Basic clean tone with verb and quarter delay
  • Snapshot/Scene 2: DRIVE. Light Drive (Drive 1A)
  • Snapshot/Scene 3: DRIVE+. Med Drive (Drive A, Control Switch 1)
  • Snapshot/Scene 4: P&W LEAD. Big lead tone with delay and reverb
  • Snapshot/Scene 5: AMBI CLEAN. Clean tone with stereo delay (1/4 + 1/8d) and big reverb.
  • Snapshot/Scene 6: 80’s CLEAN. Clean tone with chorus
  • Snapshot/Scene 7: POG LEAD. Big lead tone like snap 4 but with POG
  • Snapshot/Scene 8: SWELLS. Big ambient tones

POD Go:

  • Snapshot 1: CLEAN. Base clean tone
  • Snapshot 2: DRIVE. Stage 1 drive tone
  • Snapshot 3: P&W LEAD. Lead tone with lots of delay and verb
  • Snapshot 4: AMBIENT. Ambient clean tone

NOTE: The HX Stomp patches do not include Snapshots. For HX Stomp users, we’ve also included a ‘Dual Amp’ patch which contains two instances of the amp/IR in stereo – use this if you run a stereo board into your Stomp.

TONEX AMP CAPTURE PRESETS & KEMPER PROFILES

For Tonex and Kemper, we have captured the amp through its entire gain range for all available channels (12ax7 and EF86). The Amp Model Presets and Profiles are numbered – higher numbers mean more gain. The ‘Edge of Breakup’ settings that we like to use with a pedal board are usually the 2 and/or 3 profile/capture.

KEMPER PERFORMANCE

We’ve also included a fully featured Kemper performance with options for both single coils and humbuckers.

HEADRUSH PRIME

For Headrush Prime, we’ve included both rigs (patches) and amp clone(s). The Amp Clone is from the Brilliant channel of the amp (our favorite), and we’ve built both a ‘SC’ and ‘HB’ rig around the amp clone.

Headrush Prime Signal Flow:

  1. Input
  2. Compressor
  3. Pitch
  4. Overdrives
  5. Volume
  6. Amp Clone
  7. Tremolo
  8. Chorus
  9. Delays: 1/8 delay, Dotted 8th delay, Dual stereo delay
  10. Reverbs: Subtle and Ambient
  11. Output

FOOTSWITCH CONFIGURATION

We’ve programmed the switches on the Headrush Prime to act like a traditional pedalboard. You’ll see individual effects mapped to the different buttons and labeled appropriately. If you’d like to make changes, the process is simple – the Headrush Prime manual provides great documentation if you’d like to create scenes or other button mapping.
