Description

TONE MATCH PATCHES, CAPTURES, AND PROFILES OF OUR MORGAN AC20 DELUXE

For these presets, we have captured our Morgan AC20 Deluxe. The result is set of presets and captures that sound exactly like our amp, and the microphones, preamps, and EQ chains that we use to record it.

The AC20 DLX is a high end boutique Vox AC30 inspired amp from Morgan. It features a 12ax7 channel and an EF86 channel. The 12ax7 channel is brighter and chimier, while the EF86 channel is thicker with more gain.

While this amp may be tonally related to an AC30, it sounds much more refined and polished to our ears. We think it’s a lot closer to a Matchless C-30, but it has it’s own voice and character. Our 1×12 cabinet has a Celestion Alnico Gold speaker, which is a great pairing for this amp.

We’ve tone-matched and captured the amp with a Royer 121 and Earthworks SR25 through a stereo Neve 1073 preamp.

LINE 6 HELIX, HX STOMP, POD Go PATCHES

The pack includes 2 patches (each with SC and HB options). We’ve tone-matched both channels of this amplifier – the ‘EF’ patches are the EF86 channel, and the ‘AX’ patches are the 12ax7 channel.

  • MRGN AC20 AX/EF TMs– This patch uses the IR’s and is meant for guitars with single coils.
  • MRGN AC20 AX/EF TMh – This patch uses the IR’s and is meant for guitars with humbuckers.
  • NOTE: The HX Stomp and POD Go folders include ‘FX” patches. These patches include the additional effects blocks from the full Helix patches.

QUAD CORTEX CAPTURES

For Quad Cortex, we have captured the amp through its entire gain range of the amp. The captures and are numbered – higher numbers mean more gain. The ‘Edge of Breakup’ settings that we like to use with a pedal board are usually the 2 and/or 3 capture.

ALL-IN-ONE PRESETS

Also included are gig-ready (Sunday morning ready, to be more precise) all in one presets utilizing captures of this amp and our drive pedals. We’ve included separate presets for both single coil quipped and humbucker equipped guitars. You can use these presets in both Scene and Stomp mode, and they cover a ton of sonic territory.

HOW DO YOU GET THE CAPTURES?

When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).

This is how we will send you the captures:

  1. Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (WorshipTutorials) will follow you on the app.
  2. Follow ‘WorshipTutorials’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
  3. After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
  4. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
