Description
BRADFORD’S GO-TO PRESETS FOR LINE 6, FRACTAL, AND QUAD CORTEX
This is Bradford’s go-to preset for digital modeling devices. It features tone match IR’s of Bradford’s favorite stereo amp combo – the ’94 Matchless C-30 and his Benson Chimera. Both of these amps sound phenomenal on their own, but together in stereo they are magic. Bradford has also re-created his pedalboard in digital form.
TONE MATCH (Gen 2) PATCHES (Applies to Line 6 and Fractal presets only)
These are part of our ‘Tone Match’ line of patches. To create these patches, we make custom IR’s that ‘match’ the HX and Fractal amp models to our real-world amp. The result is the Line 6 and Fractal units sound almost exactly like our actual amplifiers.
The ‘Gen2’ indicates a new process we’ve used when Tone Matching our amplifiers that takes more of the amplifier’s cab and speaker into account, resulting in a more accurate tone match impulse response.
Line 6 Patches available for Helix (floor, LT, and Native) and HX Stomp
This download includes patches for Helix and HX Stomp. Please make sure to import the appropriate patch for your hardware – they are not interchangeable.

USAGE
This patch is meant to be used in either stompbox or snapshot mode. We recommend setting up your Helix to use all ten stomps (stompbox mode) or all eight snapshots (snapshot mode). The Helix LT does not allow 10-button stomp mode, so you’ll have to re-arrange the button assignments to suite your preferences.
REVERSE DELAY
Bradford loves using effects that add texture to his sound. Reverse effects are a part of that. This is nice for playing lines where the notes are very far apart. The reverse delay fills in the quiet parts with a subtle but also unmistakable texture. Use this for swells or to really fill up a lot of space just as one guitar player. Lots of texture to be had!
RAMPING TREMOLO (BLEAT CHOP TREM)
Well, almost. The way Bradford does this in the Chase Bliss Gravitas is using the dip-switches on the back of the pedal to ‘ramp’ the speed of the tremolo automatically. We would need something similar in the Helix to replicate it perfectly. Since that’s not available we used the ‘bleat chop trem’ and staggered the steps to give a very similar sound. Extra choppy on it’s own but in a mix it CUTS so well!
STEREO:
Our patches are designed to be used in stereo, but can also be used in mono with no issues. If you are able to run stereo, the reverbs and delays (and the amps in dual amp stereo patches) will sound huge. If you need to run mono, simply use only the Left output of your hardware and the patches will automatically be summed to mono.
EXPERIMENT
We design our patches for maximum usability across a wide range of styles and gear. We also realize that every player and every setup is different. Feel free to experiment with different effects and settings within the patches. We recommend copying the patch into a new slot before experimenting. This way you can always revert to the original if you’d like.

USAGE NOTES
REVERSE DELAY AND CRYSTAL ECHOES
Bradford loves using effects that add texture to his sound. Reverse effects are a part of that. There are 2 options for reverse sounds in the Fractal patches – a standard reverse delay, and the crystal echoes in the pitch block. The standard reverse sound is a reverse delay in the first delay block. This is nice for playing lines where the notes are very far apart. The reverse delay fills in the quiet parts with a subtle but also unmistakable texture. The crystal echoes are engaged in scene 8. Otherwise the pitch block gives you a subtle sub octave. Use this for swells or to really fill up a lot of space just as one guitar player. Lots of texture to be had!
RAMPING TREMOLO
We’ve added ramping tremolo to these presets. It’s been in Fractal stuff for awhile actually! To engage the ramping tremolo on Axe-FX, simply press and hold the ‘Tremolo’ button.
STEREO
Everything after the amp block is in stereo. If you are running mono, you’ll need to sum your signal to mono before going to FOH (if you only use the Left output, won’t hear some of the delays at all).
The easiest way to make this adjustment is in the ‘Setup’ menu:
- Choose ‘Setup’, and select ‘I/O’
- In OUTPUT 1 CONFIGURATION (choose the physical output you are using), change the ‘Mode’. Select ‘STEREO’ if you are running in stereo. Select ‘’SUM L+R’ if you are running mono. This will convert your output to mono and sum the stereo image. This will also cause all your presets to output in mono, as it is a global setting.

ALL-IN-ONE PRESETS
This preset features captures of our ’94 Matchless C-30 and Benson Chimera in a stereo configuration, as well as captures of Bradford’s favorite overdrive – the Browne Protein. The effects are dialed in to replicate Bradford’s pedalboard.
NOTE: This package includes all the captures in the presets themselves, but does not include additional amp captures. Those are available in the C-30 and Chimera packs.
HOW DO YOU GET THE PRESETS?
When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).
This is how we will send you the captures:
- Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (WorshipTutorials) will follow you on the app.
- Follow ‘WorshipTutorials’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
- After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
- Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
