Super Thunder – Tone Match Presets and Captures

TONE MATCH PRESETS, CAPTURES, AND PROFILES OF OUR VINTAGE SUPRO THUNDERBOLT

For this preset we’ve captured our Vintage mid-60’s Supro Thunderbolt amplifier. The result is a set of presets and captures that sound exactly like our amp, and the microphones, preamps, and EQ chains that we use to record it.

The Thunderbolt is a huge sounding amp. Ours features the original Jensen 15” speaker which delivers some massive low end, but still remains refined when pushed with gain. Cleans are big and rich, and driven tones have tons of harmonic character. It’s very vintage sounding, but surprisingly versatile.

We’ve delivered a set of presets, one for dialed in single coils and one for humbuckers.

Note: Lower DSP units (like HX Stomp, POD Go, and FM3) are not able to have as many effects as the flagship units. For these units, we have delivered additional ‘FX’ presets that contain the extra effects that cannot fit in the main presets.

CAPTURES/PROFILES

The profiles increase through the entire gain range of the amp for all channel options. Higher numbers = more gain. This pack includes profiles dialed for single coils and humbuckers at each gain stage, for a total of 8 profiles.
