A beautifully written and very hymn-like song from Stuart Townend. The timing on this one is unusual, so it helps to really learn the song before sitting down to play it.
Brian,
You mentioned at the start of the tutorial that you thought this was a hymn. Could you tell me any other guitar praise songs that might fit that category (I’m trying to introduce guitar into worship and songs that ease the transition for hymn lovers are a God-send)? 🙂
Your ministry is a real blessing. Your videos are the reason I am able to play at our church. Keep it up, brother!
Blessings,
Brian M.
Hey Brian – I think 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman sort of fits this category. There are others as well – try a google search for ‘Modern Hymns’.
Do you have charts available for this song?
Hi James – not yet but I’m working my way to it.
Hey Brian, didn’t you say there was the chord sheet available too?
Thanks for this tutorial. You are very good at explaining both notes and rhythm. I just want to play for children’s ministry and I like songs with good lyrics.
I’ll be signing up for your email updates. Thanks.
