In this video, we experiment with IR cabs in both the Line 6 Helix and the Two Notes Captor X. First, we show just how accurate the IR’s are by comparing them to the actual mic’d cab. Secondly we use the IR’s in both the Two Notes Captor X (with the actual amps) and in the Line 6 Helix (with equivalent amp models) to showcase just how powerful IR’s can be. It really is like getting the character of these amps in your Helix or other modeling device.
I’m getting ready to start from scratch again with my gear. I had a Line 6 POD HD that was stolen and I need to start over. I like the compactness of a multi effect’s processor since I’m typically running directly into the board. Single FX pedals are good but they are not easy to transport and can add up. I’m not too familiar to other processors. I am considering the Helix but I have heard some negative reviews. I would really appreciate your opinion.
Thanks
