WT Signature: Brian Wahl – Tone Match Presets and Captures

This download includes patches for Helix and HX Stomp. Please make sure to import the appropriate patch for your hardware – they are not interchangeable.

We’ve delivered two sets of presets. First are the original ‘Brian Sig’ presets, with the Tone Match Gen2 IR’s. Second, we’ve added a set of presets that Brian uses live. These are based on the Brian Sig presets, but with some tweaks to the amp blocks and IR’s, and the signal chain.

• WTBrianSig TM2 SC/HB – the original ‘Brian Signature’ presets, with options for guitar with single coils and humbuckers.
• BrianSig LIVE SC/HB – these are the same presets that Brian uses live, with options for guitar with single coils and humbuckers.
• NOTE: The HX Stomp folder includes ‘FX” patches. These patches include the additional effects blocks from the full Helix patch.

NOTE: The ‘LIVE’ presets have most of stereo effects in front the amp blocks. This will create a different type of sound, especially when the big delays and reverbs hit the amps with gain in front of them. You can choose which layout you like best.

The HX Stomp patches cannot fit all the effects into a single patch. For those platforms, we include the amp and essential effects in the main patches, and then we include the additional effects blocks in the ‘FX’ patches. Feel free to mix and match the additional ‘FX’ blocks into the main patches to suite your needs.

BLOCK CHANNELS

For each effect block, we set up all four channels to give you as many options as possible for each individual effect types. For example, in the Compressor block, there are four different types of compression. For drives, we use all available channels in each drive block to get different overdrive flavors. Please experiment with the channels in all the different blocks to find your favorites. Typically we use our favorites in Channel A.

The exceptions to this are usually the amp and cab blocks – for those we usually only set up Channel A.

The demos above were created with the all-in-one presets included with this purchase. These presets utilize the amp captures, and no external effects were used – all QC effects blocks and captures.

ALL-IN-ONE PRESETS

Brian’s signature preset for Quad Cortex, voiced for single coils. This preset features captures of our ’94 Matchless C-30 and Matchless Chieftain in a stereo configuration. The effects are dialed in to replicate Brian’s pedalboard. We’ve included a Whammy pitch effect, but you’ll need to use an expression pedal to control it.

NOTE: This package includes all the captures in the presets themselves, but does not include additional amp captures. Those are available in the C-30 and Chieftain packs.

HOW DO YOU GET THE PRESETS?

When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).

This is how we will send you the captures:

1. Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (WorshipTutorials) will follow you on the app.
2. Follow ‘WorshipTutorials’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
3. After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
4. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
