The Stand has a great bridge that serves as sort of the anthem of the whole song. One of Hillsong’s best songs ever in my opinion.

Awesome stuff Brian. I really like the tone of your gretsch. I think I might have to get my hands on a hollow body. I am super impressed with the clean tone you get from your modeling software. Its some of the best tone I have heard from digital modelers. well done my friend
@Mathew Garrett Reames Thanks, Mat. I have this long and strange history with amp modeling. Over the years I’ve owned (and sold) a 1st generation Line 6 Spider amp, a Vox Valvetronix amp, a Line 6 POD 2.0, a POD XT Live, a POD HD500, and a Line 6 GuitarPort. That’s a lot of buying and selling – and a lot of disappointment with modeling products!
Software-wise, I’ve used several generations of Line 6 POD Farm. And now I pretty much exclusively use the modeling stuff in Logic Pro.
I’ve absolutely hated any amp or pedal based modeling, but I’ve obviously hoped for the best, ha! In the end, I’ve come back to running analog pedals through a tube amp for live use. For recording, I can’t get my live rig to sound even close to as good as software based modeling (both using POD Farm and Logic modeling). Maybe it’s just the processing power with an actual computer allows the modeling stuff to make better tone? One thing I’ve never tried, though, is to run my electric guitar through my recording setup and use Logic’s modeling in a live environment. Just seems way easier to plug into an amp, plus I play acoustic live most of the time.
If you use Logic (I think GarageBand has the same modeling built in), I’d be happy to share my presets with you, or at least just let you know which amp models I like the best. I find that I typically just gravitate toward 2 or 3 of them all the time.

Hi Randy – I’ve never played that one. I’ll check it out.
I reaaly enjoy listening the way your playing the stand on the grestch, are their any tabs avaible for this one. Ive been playing for a short time and would really like to play this one.
Hi Doug – I don’t have tabs for this (it’s been so long ago I’m not sure I remember what I did, ha). It’s really just a simple finger-picking pattern. You could check out the finger picking lessons here in the guitar lessons section.
what major keys pad do you play for this song? (Normal, atmospheric, cinematic, etc…?)
Thanks and God Bless you brother
Hi Michael – I think in this one I played the pads on a keyboard along with the song, so I followed all the chord changes.
